Non aggressive Tropical fish Freshwater

How to Choose Fish for a non Aggressive Freshwater Aquarium

A non-aggressive freshwater fish tank can add a lot to a home. You will find many different types of fish from which to choose. Of course, make certain that all of the fish you select are of the freshwater and non-aggressive variety or you can have serious problems. Also consider the following when selecting your fish.

How long do the fish live?

You may want to consider the life span of the fish. Most would obviously want fish that could last a few years. It can be upsetting when you lose fish. Also, consider how hardy the fish are. Even some fish that can live a long time may have trouble. Some fish are just better able to withstand stressors and sickness better than others.

Consider how the fish look

Obviously you are going to want attractive fish. You will find fish of all different colors of the rainbow. Even fish of the same species will often come in different colors. You can go to the fish store to look around. Also consider how the different fish will look together in a tank. In addition, you may want to look at how large the fish get. You may prefer a tank with larger or smaller fish.

It is important not to put too many fish into the tank. Just like humans, fish need some of their own space. The amount of fish that you can put into a tank will depend on how large the fish tank is and how large the fish are or will be. You can look up the information online or you can talk to the person at your local fish store.

Consider how the fish act in the tank

Different fish have different habits. Some of them are very active. Others might hide a lot or be relatively still. Think about what you want for a tank. Think about what you would like to look at.

Make sure that you get healthy fish

If you bring an unhealthy fish into your tank, it can literally sabotage the entire tank. It is important to try to find healthy fish. Do not buy one that looks sickly. When looking at the store you may want to avoid getting fish from a tank that has a lot of dead fish in it. If the fish store in general has a lot of dead fish, then you may want to consider another store. Also consider how the fish from the store have done before.

There are many great freshwater fish that you can put into a non-aggressive tank. Make sure that you introduce them properly to the tank. Also consider the above points when deciding which fish to purchase.

Freshwater aquarium

A saltwater aquarium is going to be a massive time suck and a money pit. I advise against it. I really enjoyed my freshwater aquarium, but I never really had a problem with hard water. They make water conditioners for that, though.
I really enjoyed my freshwater aquarium. It was not that expensive, and if you get the right kind of fish, they are hard to kill. I stuck with Rafael catfish(hard to find the spotted kind), senegal bichirs(some people call them dinosaur eels), chichlids(super aggressive), and oscars. Don't forget to also include an algea eater(like a pleco), and several mystery snails

Adult Corydoras Catfish to a good home.

I have a twenty five gallon tall planted aquarium and I bought a tiny little cory cat not realizing at the time that they grow to be ~3 inches long. I have plenty of room in my tank but honestly my cat has become too aggressive to other bottom feeders like algae eaters for me to keep him. The aggression is probably due to the size of my tank and my oversight. He has never been aggressive to mid or high water community fish. I am happy to give him away to someone who has a good size freshwater aquarium. I can provide a picture if necessary but a quick Google of corydoras will give you a good idea
